It's pretty in a minimalist sort of way, with fluorescent numbers and hands, and a whisper quiet mechanism. Setting the time and date is simple and it keeps perfective time. The cover of the watch casing and the wrist band appear to be made of the same tough, black rubber, and sufficient holes are punched in the band to keep my wrist from sweating.
One aesthetic note: The face of the watch looks more refined and tasteful than the photos here. I think they either got rid of the crystal to reduce reflections in the photo or employed a polarizing filter. Be advised that the without doubt or question visible inner ring encircling the numbers in the photo is in truth a 45-degree-ish beveled surface that altogether disappears when the crystal is in place.

I purchased mine in 1994/1995 and it's only necessitated a few battery replacements.

Unlike most productions purchased through Amazon this item arrived with no paperwork at all; there was no return lable.WatchMe, the Amazon supplier, would not grant a return but insisted it be returned to a Swiss Army Service Center at my expense. There was no savings buying this item through Amazon because the Canadian Supplier has no conception of the term Service. I would suggest that if you intend to buy through Amazon you do it through one of their suppliers that provides good client service [STAY AWAY FROM WatchMe] ok eh?
