Must See Breitling Avenger Skyland Review Information
DescriptionSet in the exceedingly rich universe of the standard film, Heavy Metal, FAKK2 allows you to assume the role of Julie. Based on the most innovative modification of the Quake3 engine as of now, the game will feature vast, expansive and organic terrains with immense attention to details. Julie will be competent to hold (not carry) two types of weapons at a time, and this ought to grant for a great deal of interesting variations -- for example, in multiplay, whether you use a sword-shield combo or an Uzi combo will affect the way you play. Anyway, amidst the recent influx of third-person shooters, this seems to be one of the most impressive."In Heavy Metal you take on the role of F.A.K.K.2, a legendary hero of the multi-verse. Take her on a journeying of unimaginable proportions where death and risk lie in the most unsuspecting corners of a world you have to see to believe. Only a story straight from the pages of Heavy Metal could give you the goods like F.A.K.K. 2 does. GITH is coming and he wants you!" Mac OS 8.6-OS 9.2.2 to Mac OS X 10.0 (not compatible with 10.1 or 10.2)
F.A.K.K.2 is a universal warning to all Federation deep-space navigators, indicating a dangerous biohazard where life enters and only death remains. F.A.K.K.2 is also the name of a world so sublime, with a mystery so great, that only the most terrifying classification could keep the spoilers away. F.A.K.K.2 is also a woman who has assumed the name of the world she cherished, when that name alone could no longer protect her tranquil paradise from greed, cruelty, and annihilation. With retribution in her soul, love in her heart, and two wholly automatic, four-barreled blasters in her hands, F.A.K.K.2 is a ravishing avenger on a deadly mission. A steel-eyed huntress and expert warrior, F.A.K.K.2 fights with a single purpose: she will not rest until she's freed her sister from the ruthless, power-hungry monster who abducted her when he ravaged their majestic planet and stole it is biggest secret. The game's story picks up where the movie leaves off. You control F.A.K.K.2, who must now defend her home world from invasion by a Borg-like collective known as GITH Industries. GITH is an ugly megalomaniac who wants to dominate the universe and either possess or decimate everything that lives and breathes. He has been motoring around the galaxy in a spaceship strapped to a conquered, decimated planet. The company is looking for an upgrade and has came upon Julia's world. F.A.K.K.2 is the only thing that stands among GITH and total control of the universe. Time for our heroine to break out the four-barreled blasters again. The game is played in a third-person perspective with equivalent constituents action and adventure. Among it is key features are dynamic environments, visible damage, and two-handed combat. |

Good game - crappy port By Edward Eigerman There is no question that if you like primary person shooters with an actual story, such as the basi Unreal or Deus Ex, you'll like this. The story is typical sci-fi silliness, but it doesn't take itself too gravely and it's imaginitive and doesn't get in the way of the game very often. There's a lot of talk with regards to the graphcs, and they are great, but we've come to suppose that sort of thing these days. There is also talk regarding the heroine of the game, Julie, who is surely pleasant sufficient to look at, but unless you're 13 or in prison, I doubt it's worth getting the game to watch a computerized cartoon of a good looking woman run around. Game play is well done. You may fight with a weapon in each hand, you may climb and swing on ropes, you may grab on to ledges and pull yourself up. And, something I exceptionally liked from Deus Ex, there is a training course at the begining of the game to get you intimate with the controls and other concepts. Plus there is a generous helping of weird creatures and gorey violence. The play of the game is hampered by one major flaw, the design of the game itself. It's just glitchy. I have no idea how the PC version plays, but my guess is that this is just a poor port to the Macintosh. If you move too close to a wall you oftentimes get stuck and have to find just the right angle to walk away. This may get you killed in a fight. Julie likewise occasionally sheaths her weapons for no evident reason or plainly stops fighting. There are likewise video glitches were thngs decrease rapidly or are repeated infintely. Most importantly, there is a point in the game where it merely crashed until the publisher ultimately came out with a patch. And there is merely no Macintosh support anyplace on any of the four or five web sites committed to this game. None of my e-mails for aid were ever answered. Having said all that, I'm still logging a great deal of hours playing this one. It is fun, but it may be frustrating. See all 1 client reviews... |
