A Great Recipe Resource for Anyone Trying the Dukan Diet By Abbey4765 This is the official recipe book from Dr. Pierre Dukan. All the receipes in the book consist almost altogether of protein (meat, dairy or soy based), non-starchy vegetables and oat bran.
The book begins with an overview of the Dukan diet, including the permitted foods and an comprehensible statement of the four stages of the diet (Attack, Cruise, Consolidation and Stabalization). This firstborn selective information is concise, but it includes all the essentials, so you could in all likelihood get away with just reading this book if you are new to the Dukan diet.
The recipes are clear and easy to follow. Because of the nature of the diet, the ingredients are gorgeous limited: largely lean cuts of been, veal, pork and poultry, as well as all fish/seafood. Also eggs and any non-fat dairy products. Vegetables are strictly fixed to the non-starchy variety, so there are no potatoes or yams, and of course no grains.
There are when it comes to 350 receipes disunited into two groups: pure protein (for the attack phase), and proteins + vegetables (for the other phases). In addition to main dishes with meat, poultry, seafoods, and eggs there are likewise soups, sauces and deserts (including cookies, chocolate cake and cheesecake). Nearly all the recipes in the book use animal products, so it is unquestionably not a diet for vegans.
This is a outstanding resource for any person who wants to undertake the Dukan diet. If time/energy to prepare feed each day is a problem for you, I'd also commend The Protein Express Diet: Rapid Weight Loss with a Simplified Dukan Style Low-Carb Diet which has "fast food" meals that will fit into the Dukan diet. 4 of 4 humans found the following review helpful.
Dukan works, but recipes are blah By Ms. J. Peterson The Dukan diet is the only diet that I have tried so far that has in truth worked and that was easy to follow. Fantastic weight loss for minimum effort. I was so excessively affected emotionally and couldn't wait until the book came out. I have so far tried assorted of the recipes and they have all bombed!!! Not one recipe has worked out so far and I have followed them to the letter. The only thing it is utile for is to provide ideas on what to eat, but you will have to experiment and adjust the recipes in order to make them work. The diet, however, is unquestionably worth following. 0 of 0 persons found the following review helpful.
Dukan recipes By E. Snyder I've only tried a few of the recipes in Dr. Dukan's book, but they were tasty and comparatively simple to prepare. Some of the ingredients are a little uncommon, so I stuck with the less sophisticated ones, but there are a large total to choose from. Good associate book to his diet book.
