Life of Ruth Lehman Landis based on her writings, primarily diaries she kept from 1909 to 1989. Ruth was a Mennonite farmer's wife in Indiana and lived from 1891 to 1992. Most of 20th century inventions are included as well as wars, widely known and esteemed personalities and travel in the United States. Photographs spanning her life are likewise included.

An Inspiring Tale

Normally when one thinks life almost a hundred years ago, we think of the genuinely simple life without technology. But reading this novel, you will not only read the tales of daily farm life finish with a plethora of housework that will shame any soccer mom, but you will also welcome yourself into the world of an independent, strong, and rather intellectual woman's life. Not only will you get a personal perspective somebody very active in society of life early in the 20th century, but you will likewise listen regarding the invention of television, the elections of Woodrow Wilson in 1912 to Jimmy Carter in 1976, Ruth seeing Haley's comet Twice!, the Landing on the Moon, the Depression and Drought of the 30's, as well as two World Wars.

Through the novel you will receive pleasure from Ruth's mark on assorted organizations, the family she raised, her adventures with farm life, as well as her wonderment for her husband of 73 years who rode for miles on his bike at age 95. She gives you the inspiration to love life to it is fullest and be grateful for the little things. This is genuinely a story of a remarkable woman and composed perfectly by her granddaughter
