This program is very easy to use. It has a very easy to use interface and has respective categories to learn. It plays very much like a game. It's simple, in the word review you click the object and it says it. You may click the record button and compare your voice to the native speaker, and repeat this until you say it right. Then, there are 2 games to play as well as a distinguished voice activity. And this is the same for each category. Your goal is to score 1800 points, meaning you mastered all of the actions and categories. You likewise may set it to respective languages and learn from your language of choice. For instance, as a German speaker I chose to use German to learn Swiss German, as I think it makes more sense to learn a dialect based on the ordinary language. There are over 80 languages to choose from. Also, you may print a picture dictionary of the words in each category as well as import audio lessons to iTunes. This is a great program for only 20 dollars. Some other Swiss resources besides Eurotalk : Swiss German, Compact: Learn to Speak and Understand Swiss German with Pimsleur Language Programs (Simon & Schuster's Pimsleur) ,; Schwiizertüütsch: Das Deutsch der Eidgenossen (Kauderwelsch) (German Edition) NOTE THAT Schiizertüütsch is in GERMAN. NO ENGLISH. I have reviewed Scwiizertüütsch as well.

First of all, recognise that you have to run this program from the CD, which is in general slower than installing a program and running it from the hard drive. In the case of this Talk Now Swiss CD, though, slow means clicking the button and waiting up to 45 seconds for the CD to respond.

Second, know that the disc is full of buggs and programming errors. In the introductory hour of attempting to run it, I got two, which held coming up and finally the program informed me that the disc (brand new, just unwrapped) may be damaged.

Third, know that the program itself has the look and of a cheap power point presentation.

I'm very enthusiastic in regards to language learning and very disappointed with this program. (For reference, I'm using the latest Mac OSX 10.6.7 OS.)
