For almost 50 years, Familia has been fabricating both established and modern natural cereals. Imported from Switzerland, known as the birthplace of muesli, Familia offers a potpourri of nutrient-rich cereals that everyone may enjoy. Familia proudly does their share to support the environs by insulating their roofs to reduce their CO2, utilizing solar panels and using green electricity from nearby water plants. Familia also supports farmers who believe in preserving the surroundings by using “earth-friendly” methods of growing and processing foods.

The authentic taste & texture By Ulrich Growing up in Switzerland, I often times had "Bircher Muesli" for breakfast. For those who don't recognise the history of "Muesli", the cereal was genuinely devised in the beginning of the 20th century by a Swiss doctor named Maximilian Bircher-Benner as a health food. See the wikipedia article on "Muesli" for more information.
The abbreviated form, "Muesli," is a phonetic transliteration of the Swiss-German diminutive form of the German word "Mus", which translates to "mash", "mush" or "puree."
Thus, it must be no surprise that in order to be authentic, in my opinion a "muesli" must become a soft mush when exposed to milk.
Familia's Original Swiss Muesli is right on the mark - if you let it sit in milk for a few minutes, it'll absorb the liquid, and assume the "muesli" texture - a mush with a good deal of nice crunchy bits (nuts) as a counterpoint (unlike most impostor products, including the other varieties sold by Familia, which stay crunchy).
The cereal is flavored and sweetened with honey and a potpourri of fruit (including, according to the ingredients list, raisins, apples and pears), giving it a flavor which transports me back to my childhood home.
Four stars for a outstanding authentic-tasting and sentiment product. One star deduction for the occasional bit of nut-shell that makes it is way into the cereal. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful.
As good as I do not forget it By Trurl This is genuinely the primary branded product I remember. I firstborn ate this 40 years ago at my grandmothers. It still tastes as good.
I'm so glad Amazon is providing productions like this. My local health store stopped carrying it since it was getting kinda expensive.
This isn't like corn flakes -- here a little goes a long way. But then you likewise don't get hungry an hour after eating it.
And I don't have to strength my kids to eat it! 3 of 3 persons found the following review helpful.
