It broke before it even came out of the box

When I opened up this watch (which was a Christmas gift) it was in a finelooking velvet box, and the watch itself was much prettier than the picture led me to think it would be. Unfortunately, while getting it out of the box the links started to break apart. My boyfriend got it without apparent effort refunded.
