Morning – Get your bearings by taking a double-decker bus tour of Manhattan. Hop off at Battery Park* and catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty***.
Afternoon – Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art***, then take a stroll through Central Park***. Go to the observatory atop the Empire State Building*** for a panoramic view of the city at sunset.
Evening – Treat yourself to a meal in Midtown (see Must Eat), then take in a Broadway show.
... and if you have a second day:
