The Hamilton Story

The Hamilton story is a 120-year road that meanders from Lancaster in the United States to Biel, Switzerland, the world capital of watchmaking. Today, Hamilton is known international thanks to it is pioneering role in the worlds of aviation, cinema, as well as electric and digital technology. Hamilton watches have singular shapes that exhibit a perfective pairing of personality and design, which combine American spirit with Swiss ingenuity.

Hamilton was founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Its introductory collection of pocket watches, the Broadway Limited, was known as "The Watch of Railroad Accuracy."

In 1914, Hamilton was further thrust onto the national scene when it was chosen to be the official watch provider of the U.S. Armed Forces. In the late teens and early '20s, pioneer pilots of the era trusted the Hamilton brand for it is precision and accuracy and it became the official watch of a good deal of airlines in the 1930s.

Hamilton watches could be seen on the silver screen allround the '60s and '70s, most notably a Hamilton Ventura was worn by Elvis Presley in the film, Blue Hawaii.

Today, Hamilton watches are synonymous with iconic style, as they carry on to grace our lives through a lot of of our favored movies. Hamilton watches may be seen in such films as Men In Black, Lethal Weapon 4, Fight Club, and Independence Day.

Great, Classy Looking Watch

I genuinely like the look and size of this watch. Also, it seems to keep running on a wind longer than my Tag Heuer. It is large, but since it is slim and has a clean, simple look, it doesn't look too big.

Bad timekeeping

I purchased this watch and when it arrived it was everything I expected. However, wearing if for only one day I came upon that it gained 5 minutes per hour! I have subsequently returned the watch.

Beautiful

I recieved my watch last week and I'm very happy with it. It's a classy dress and particular occasion watch. It's a bit larger in diameter than I thought it would be, but it is in no way a deal breaker. On the plus side it's much thinner and slips beneath shirt cuffs easily. The pictures on Amozon don't do it justice, it's refined and tasteful and sleek and will be in style for centuries.. I have a Hamilton Khaki hand wind that I wear each day and beat on, so I'm sure this watch will last evermore as a dressy particular occasion watch. I believe it will be passed down to the next generation.. Thanks Hamilton and Amazon..
