Doesn't live up to Swiss Army Durability Fame By Dominic Minye I got tried of purchasing cheap umbrellas and was hoping this umbrella would be as lasting as my Swiss Army luggage, after all $37 is beauteous costly for a compact umbrella. I wasn't hoping for a miracle, but for it to last at least a rainy season or two. After a light gust, one of the skeleton ribs snapped and 1/2 of the umbrella had to be opened manually. A few weeks later, for the duration of normal use, something else internally broke and now it won't stay open. Definitely not worth the money. 15 of 15 persons found the following review helpful.
Do not buy this umbrella! By Dr. Banger I purchased this thinking the brand and whatsoever is supposed to be titanium in this umbrella would mean it would last me for years. My former umbrella (different brand) lasted me for 7 years before it at last gave out. That's how I warrant paying $35 for an umbrella as I figure I may buy 1 good one that will last a long time, rather than one of those cheap $5 ones that scarcely survive a year. Basically the higher price makes up for getting a new umbrella each year. And the automati open/close scheme is a in truth great feature (especially the close).
Anyway, I purchased one of these umbrellas and it only lasted a few months. I actually expended another $5 to mail it in to get it substituted under warranty. I am presently using the alternate they sent to me, and already it's starting to break again (after just a few uses). There appears to be a design flaw in the way the spines attach to the top spoke of the umbrella, as those are what break effortlessly (they snap off the top spoke). 2 of mine have already detached so that when I close the umbrella, occasionally it doesn't close decently and it looks like the umbrella has a broken wing as another reviewer pointed out. This is how the umbrella breaks without apparent effort - it will get started with 1 spine detaching, and then the rest speedily follow. 12 of 12 humans found the following review helpful.
Totally unsatisfied By Candy I was not at all satisfied with this umbrella. It was good and lightweight, but i only had to open it a couple times before the fabric started out to detach itself from the metal ribs. i believe given the price of this umbrella, I ought to have been competent to receive pleasure from it for more than 1 week. Luckily the marketers were genuinely understanding and alleviating in helping me to interchange it. Hopefully the one I have substituted it with is of a much better quality.
