Much Worse Than Before

This book is a big step BACKWARDS by Lonely Planet.
Compared to the former edition content has been cut back seriously, and the chapter covering Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo, which covers 73% of the island) is so slim it is now almost useless. The entire huge province of West Kalimantan has been completely omitted from this edition, never mind that it has, among other things, the only land crossing amidst Malaysian and Indonesian Borneo. The coverage of the remaining three Kalimantan provinces is likewise so poor that you are much better off getting the Kalimantan chapter of LP's general Indonesia guide.
As for Malaysian Borneo, I guess the guide is OK, it covers all the touristy spots already covered in Lonely Planet's Malaysia Singapore & Brunei guide, but no more.

My go to guide

I am a huge fan on Lonely Planet because they have never steered me wrong. I genuinely take pleasure in the layout of this guide. It give straightforward counsel and a assortment of pricing selections for eating and housing. I am using this as my main reference for planning my upcoming trip
