This was a arousing and attention holding examination of a business whose story is too many times told by Amway loyalists or disgruntled former insiders. As a reader who is neither -- nor, for that matter, a big fan of business histories in frequent -- I may say Amway Forever breaks out of the genre. I imagine it will be of interest to readers in a large, standard audience. Amway Forever also takes the reader around the world with the author's meticulous research. Crisp, clear writing makes Amway Forever a breeze to read. Amway Forever gives balanced treatment to the controversies that have dogged the company all around it is history as well as the company's successes as it spreads around the globe -- both without the joint operation of the company itself, no little feat. But given that the author is a discerned business and magazine writer and newspaper editor with a long of professional accolades, what else would you expect? Amway Forever is a five-star read.

By James Davis
A friend of mine gave me this book for my birthday, in all likelihood remembering a speech we had regarding our mothers, their friends and direct-sales parties they held or attended years ago. "Oh, thanks. That sounds interesting," I said, not in truth meaning it. But assorted days ago I woke up before the newsprints arrived and looked for something to read. Three hours later I put the book down when my stomach genuinely started growling for breakfast. The next day I finished this story of determination, drive and, perhaps, a little hanky-panky on the way to unbelievable success. And the lawsuits and the politics. Wow! I had no idea. I thought the author handled the story right down the middle, manufacturing neither a propaganda piece for the company nor an over-the-top expose. I'm going to order a copy for another friend whom I think would get enjoyment from it. Maybe I'll ask him to do the same for another friend who may do it for another friend, etc. We might even have little parties to talk in regards to the book. Hey, this sounds a little bit like something I read regarding recently. Not as profitable, of course.

I in truth enjoyed this book. Loved reading with regards to the development of such a big business enterprise; the giants that built it; the good and the bad. It was very well written. A real page-turner--which I never thought I'd say when it comes to a business publication! Not actually understanding the one-star review, but perhaps it was from one of the "disgruntled" folks another reviewer mentioned. Buy this book!
