Swiss Post Offices

I was born on May 23, 1924 as Gertrude Lütolf in a little village, Triengen, Switzerland where I also attended the indispensable & secondary school. After 3 years of volunteer work in the Southern portion of Switzerland, Ticino, and in the French percentage of Switzerland I started out a three years training at the post office in Triengen at the age of 18. It was likewise in a post office where I met my husband for the original time.
I am a proud mother & grand-mother of five children, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. So there is always a lot going on! I am a widow since 2003 and since 2009 I have been living in a nursing home.
I have worked hard my whole life and hence I have almost never had time for hobbies except for being there for my fantasti children, grandchildren and my great-grandchild, reading and writing that I take delight in passionately. You will find more selective information in my booklet.

Gertrud Stadelmann-Lütolf tells the story of her life. Stories that affected her life. Stories, her grandchildren want to listen over and over again. She has written down her stories for her 14 grandchildren and her not long ago born great-grandchild. And for all those who are mesmerized in turning back the clock some decades, seeing and exploring this world with the eyes of a little girl, a young woman and then a mother of five children.
