The Wenger Story

Wenger Logo wenger swiss military watches

Precision. Craftsmanship. Multi-functionality.

Wenger supplied the Swiss Army with multi-functional tools as early as 1908. That’s over 100-years of history being there with the right tool at the right for in a literal sense millions of troops and consumers. Today, the Wenger brand stands as a benchmark for quality, multi-functionality and precision engineering.

Many watches have quartz movements and stainless steel cases. But there is one feature only a few timepieces may assert – a pedigree. In 1988 Wenger turned it is inimitable hand to that other icon of Swiss craftsmanship - the Swiss Watch. The exacting standards reflected in Wenger Swiss Army knives extend to a collection of multi-functional Swiss-made watches for men and women. It’s no wonder our timepieces are prized the world over for their accuracy, handsome design and authentic craftsmanship. Not to mention the inheritance of Swiss innovation that makes all Wenger merchandise legendary.

star50 tpng wenger swiss military watchesBest watch I've ever owned!
By Allan Hall
I received this watch as a gift in 2007 and have been wearing it almost each day since. It has followed me to over 13 countries to include an active war zone and it still runs as good as the day I got it. I love watches and have owned more than a few, they all break or die some how except this one, sure the battery passed away and the band was wearing but with in regards to $30 I got a new battery and a new band so now the watch is like new. Bottom line, if you want a watch that you may wear each day and will be indestructible, then this is the watch for you.

This was a in truth nice watch, but if you are a man with a littler wrist, this one isn't for you. It is finelooking thick and big around.

star50 tpng wenger swiss military watchesSturdy. Well-built. Accurate.
By Scott D. Welch
This is the second Wenger watch that I have owned and I cannot say sufficient good things when it comes to the quality and craftsmanship that goes in to their watches. I had antecedently owned the Wenger Swiss Military Men's 72917 Classic Field Black Dial Brown Leather Military Watch but I lost it on a trip. Needless to say, I wanted another Wenger to replace it only this time I opted for the dial white face, rather of black. Purely a personal preference. And I am unquestionably not disappointed. Upon receiving the watch, I inspected it for any little little things that may be imperfections in production and I found none.

The leather strap is durable, feels good on my wrist, and is rather comfortable. Even though it is a more spectacular watch, I scarcely observe that I am wearing it. And, apart from that, I rather like the design Wenger put into the strap.

The crystal is perfect. Viewing the dial is very easy. There is no distortion which I have came across with a heap of other brands, ie occasionally the watching angle does not concede for a crystal-clear view. Not on the Wenger. From any angle it is crystal clear. The black outline on the minute and hour hands (along with the red second hand) are very visible.

The crown, like my earlier one, is a bit stiff but not overly so. I would much rather have it that way than too loose. With some other brands I have encountered that the crown, due to being somewhat loose, had popped out and my timepiece was no longer keeping time. Or it came loose, the time changed, and the crown went back, but the time was way off. A tighter fitting crown protects that from occurring.

Speaking of keeping time, the 72900 is keeping perfectly in synch with my smart . It does not seem to miss a minute.

This is a sturdy, well-built and exact timepiece. Definitely highly recommended!
