This is an original 1971 print of a poster by Pablo Picasso. (Please note that there is printing on the reverse.)

Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, stage designer, and sculptor. An fantastically gifted man, he tried his hand at a great deal of dissimilar artistic styles allround his life, including realism, classicism and surrealism; nevertheless he is most remembered for being a co-pioneer of cubism with French artisan Georges Braque. Several specific "periods" into which his work gets classfied include his Blue Period, for the duration of which time he preferent to draw mothers and children in bluish and greenish hues, and his Rose Period, which featured more lively subjects such as acrobats and harlequins. He is considered to be one of the biggest and most influential 20th century artists, and is exceptionally remembered for his portrayal of the bombing of Guernica for the duration of the Spanish Civil War in his 1937 piece, "Guernica.
