An SAR MUST!

As a technical mountain search and rescue team fellow member and trainer, I believe there is no better investment than this manual for any individual mesmerized in search and rescue. It is worth it is cost merely in the document resources. If each team fellow member doesn't have one, at least have a couple copies for any SAR team!

Good references on navigation and wilderness survival. Easy to read with well laid out charts and diagrams. Excellent book for beginning SAR Team members.

Well Founded Basic SAR Book

This book provides a solid foundation for SAR organizations. All major distinct elements from SAR proficiencies to search establishment is well covered. I would highly commend this book for those fascinated in SAR or even for the backpacker as it provides respective wilderness requisites and skills.
