About Seiko
In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were getting progressively popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was constructing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." A unfeigned poor man's Rolex.

I purchased my primary Rolex in 1966 at the Anderson AFB Exchange in Guam. It was a finelooking stainless steel Oyster Perpetual (automatic movement) and I remunerated $125.00 for it. People could not believe a young sailor would recompense that much for a watch. This was the heyday of the $10.00 Timex. About 10 years later I brought my initial gold watch, an 18k Gold Rolex President, which I paid $3000.00 for. They merchandising now for over $30,000.00. I have had this gem for over 30 years now and it still keeps perfective time. This was likewise a mechanical watch with an automatic movement. My next 10 watches over the years were all of the Quartz motion variety. Only the last two still work, and after I purchased my last Quartz watch earlier this year, I vowed it would be my last. I found out that Seiko has brought back a great deal of classically gorgeous watches with the automatic movements. No batteries, no resistors, no winding. I am starting a collection of these very somewhat priced and dependable automatic watches. I wish that more watch companies would go back to these automatic motion watches.

I am very happy with this Seiko Gold Rolex Style watch. It is the nearest thing to a authenti Rolex, is the most dependable, and priced perfectly.

Great automatic quality watch

I purchased galore watches over the years, and this one is great. Precise sufficient automatic movement, never have to rewind, battery doesn't lose power in extreme weather conditions, and very pleasant to look at. My former Seiko watches are still working the right way after numerous years, and I don't suppose this model to be any different. Build quality is very good. Very happy with this purchase. Breitling is next.

Seiko Men's Automatic Gold Tone watch

This is a good watch for it is price, and it was delivered in time and in perfective condition.

We were looking for a water immune automatic watch and the web info said that the watch is water resistant. However when we receive the watch, we came across that it is immune only to splashes and not for shower - it is not to be submerged in the water.

The wrist band was short - my husband has intermediate size wrists, but we had to request further and added links. I must admit, that the client service was fast and supportive.
